Baihegang Fort

Baihegang Fort is located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is about 300 meters away from Baitugang Fort. It is on Baihegang in Xiazhuang. With an altitude of about 30 meters, there are three forts and three cannons. The forts are oval. Their areas are 2.4 meters × 10 meters, 8.7 meters × 10 meters, and 9 meters × 9.8 meters respectively. There are auxiliary facilities behind the gun emplacements. The main roadway is 45.5 meters long, 2.85 meters wide, and 2.7 meters high. The dormitory area is about 142.5 square meters. There is also an ‘official hall’ with an open-air garden on both sides and rooms. It is the place where the chief lives and works. Some parts have been damaged and were once used as temporary dormitories for Huangpu Cement Factory. After 1995, the municipal cultural relics unit requisitioned the fort through relevant procedures and decided to renovate and open it. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday all year round, from 09:00 to 17:00.
