Baili Landscape Gallery

The Baili Landscape Gallery scenic area in Yanqing District, Beijing is located in Qianjiadian Town in the northeast of Yanqing District. It is in the core area of Yanqing’s ecological conservation zone, with a total area of 371 square kilometers. It is 40 kilometers away from Yanqing urban area and 110 kilometers away from the urban area. It adjoins Huairou District in the east, borders Chicheng County, Hebei Province in the north, and is connected with Xiangying, Liubinbao, and Zhenzhuquan townships in the southwest and southeast respectively.


The Luanchi, Huaqian, and Huasha highways pass through the town and form a loop. The transportation is convenient. In 2007, it was rated as one of the top 10 self-driving routes in Beijing. The scenic area includes one ring, three zones, and twelve spatial nodes, involving 112 Chinese miles of the riverside loop. Hence, it is named ‘Baili Landscape Gallery’. On September 17, 2010, with the approval of the National Tourism Administration and the National Tourism Scenic Area Quality Rating Committee, it became a large national 4A-level tourist scenic area covering the entire town in Beijing and realizing the integration of town and scenery.


It is now one of the four major parks of Yanqing Global Geopark. The environment in the scenic area is excellent. The climate is in the semi-humid area of the warm temperate continental monsoon climate. The air is rich in negative oxygen ions. The annual average temperature is 8°C, and the average annual precipitation is 477.2 millimeters. The scenery changes like a painting in four seasons. It is a veritable summer resort and green oxygen bar.


The beautiful Baihe River Valley and the magnificent Heihe Canyon have given birth to rich tourism resources such as the silicified wood group, the majestic dripping waterfall, the mysterious Wulong Canyon, the solemn Chaoyang Temple, the ancient Guandi Temple, and the lush Datan primeval secondary forest. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 17:00 from May 1 to October 10; open from 09:30 to 16:00 from October 11 to April 30.


Peak season: From May 1 to October 10 every year, ticket checking stops at 16:30 and the park closes at 17:00.
