Baima’ao is located in the southeast of Ganjiang Town, Yuhuan County. It is adjacent to Dongyu Village in the east, Paotai Village in the west, Diantoushan in the north, and is separated from islands such as Yangyu, Dalu, and Jishan by the sea in the south. It is a key village for fishery production in Ganjiang Town. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, this village is a wonderful place warm in winter and cool in summer. It not only has the historical tales and mysteries of reefs, the legends and stories of mountains, and the history of the beach, but also has red footprints. Looking east from the Xiaoaoshan Hill, there is a mountain called Niushan. The bull’s head faces the sea, and the bull’s butt extends to Baojiali in Dongyu Village. This Niushan is really like a living bull. There are two nostrils that communicate with each other. One is on the east side of the mountain spur, and the other is on the west side. The beach in Baima’ao is known as the golden beach. This beach is more than 300 meters long. The sand on the beach is fine, soft, and golden in color. Because there are tiny quartz sand particles mixed in the sand grains, under the sunlight, the quartz sand particles reflect, making it even more glittering and golden, hence its name. Stepping on the beach barefoot feels as soft as a sponge. The rising and falling tides are refreshing.
