Baishuidai Scenic Area is renowned for its towering ancient trees, dense shade, and perennially flowing clear springs amidst the competing peaks, making it a captivating destination. Bai Shuidai features a stream, three springs, and is embraced by the Tianshan Mountains. The stream refers to the Ma Creek, and the three springs are the Red Peach Spring, Dragon Mouth Spring, and Purification Spring. The five mountains are Dahuashan, Chutoushan, Songzaishan, Red Peach Mountain, and Hulu Mountain. The water gushing from the mountain springs is cool, clean, and sweet, known by locals as ‘fairy water’. For centuries, this place has been hailed as a sacred dragon vein site, attracting visitors and worshippers. Within the Bai Shuidai Scenic Area, there are historical sites such as the Ch’a An Temple, the site of the Lotus Picking Boat, and the Qingyun Bridge. The Ch’a An Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty, commemorates the Tang Dynasty monk Yixing who once resided in a hut here. Its unique and beautiful natural and cultural landscapes, combined with its long and splendid history, complement each other perfectly, making it a unique tourist destination. The waters of Dahuashan Mountain slowly flow between Chutoushan and Songzaishan towards Mayuan, resembling a white ribbon from afar, hence the name ‘Baishuidai’. Open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.
