Baiyun Mountain is a renowned spot for spring outings in Guangzhou, consisting of more than 30 undulating peaks. From the main peak, Muxing Ridge, one can overlook the entire city of Guangzhou. The mountain is named for the white clouds that often encircle its peaks, especially after spring rains or in the late spring season. During the blooming season, Baiyun Mountain is adorned with various flowers such as yellow trumpet trees, bauhinia, kapok, azaleas, and wild peonies, making it an excellent place for flower appreciation.
