Baiyun Spring is located at the southwest corner of the West Garden of Wanyu Garden in Baotu Spring Scenic Area. It lies quietly in a patch of oasis shrubs. Here, springs and brooks are connected. The flowing water gurgles. Rockeries pile up on the banks. Flowers and trees are sparsely scattered. At the southern end of the spring pool, there is an outlet. It is built with natural stones in a multi-layered stack. When the water is full, it overflows and can form multi-layered waterfalls. The spring water meanders eastward along the winding brook. At the entrance of Wanyu Garden, it merges with the water of Donggao Spring and continues to flow eastward to the ditch beside Baotu Spring. On the north side of Baiyun Spring, there is an ancient pavilion-style building with carved windows on all four sides and black tiles on blue bricks, namely Baiyun Pavilion. Inside the pavilion, there are ancient tea tables for tourists to taste tea, enjoy the spring, observe the spring, and rest. Beside Baiyun Spring, there is a strange stone towering high, namely Baiyun Peak. The stone is 4.2 meters high, 1.8 meters wide, and 1.5 meters thick. It has a tall and thick body. The stone texture is interlaced. The holes are transparent. It is tall and steep. It is perfectly integrated with the spring brook, pavilion bridge, green bamboo, and green trees beside Baiyun Spring. Looking at it is like suddenly a changeable and colorful white cloud floating among the verdant greenery, which is pleasing to the eye and evokes endless reveries.
