Baiyun Temple, originally known as Baiyun Rock, is located in Chaonan District, Shantou City. It was founded by the nun Shi Chunzhen in the 32nd year of the Guangxu era in the Qing Dynasty. The original structure of the temple was a four-point golden configuration with a water shed and a grey wooden structure. The temple’s entrance is adorned with couplets inscribed with the word ‘Baiyun’ at the beginning.
