Bajia Scenic Area is located in Bajia Town, Yangchun, and is 60 kilometers west of the city center. The main peak of the mountain, known as E Huang Zhang, stands at an elevation of 1,337 meters. The mountain is covered with lush forests, home to many rare and ornamental plants, including 32 species of nationally protected plants such as Tiger Face Flower, Pig Blood Wood, Seepwood Tree, Rhododendron Red Camellia, Hydrangea, and Round Seed Lotus. Additionally, 12 species of plants unique to China, such as the Large Fruited Acanthopanax, have been discovered, accounting for a quarter of the total in Guangdong Province. There are also unnamed and rare species yet to be announced.
On the mountain, there is a 160,000 square meter Tianchi Lake, with a water storage capacity of 24.18 million cubic meters, and the water quality is excellent, slightly sweet to the taste. Tour boats can be seen on the lake surface, creating a spectacle known as ‘Boating on the Mountain Top.’ Between the mountains, waterfalls cascade with a thunderous sound. Among them, the Bajia Waterfall, dubbed ‘The First Waterfall of Lingnan,’ stretches 470 meters long with a drop of 248 meters, and its sound can be heard within a 5-kilometer radius, while its form is visible from a distance of 10 kilometers. Bajia Scenic Area is abundant in rainfall and misty, offering a variety of magnificent and colorful scenery.Must Read
