Experience the newly choreographed and visually reimagined romantic ballet classic, Giselle, a tale of love transcending life and death that has captivated audiences across generations. The climax of the ballet, the ‘White Act’ in Act II, features the ghostly Giselle bravely protecting her lover Albert from the forest spirits, creating a stark contrast between the passion of love and the ethereal beauty of her dance. The intertwining themes of passion, betrayal, and redemption keep the audience spellbound. Choreographer Wei Chengtian and South African ballet artist Geng An have re-envisioned this romantic ballet masterpiece, and renowned ‘Ballet Oscar’ winning designer Kaplan has been invited to create new sets and costumes. Kaplan, who has previously designed the sets and costumes for the Hong Kong Ballet’s ‘Chanel’, brings his exquisite and elegant aesthetic style to this production, making it stand out. This time, he takes on the challenge of Giselle, filled with ghostly and romantic atmosphere, drawing even more attention to the ballet! Performances are scheduled from May 30th to June 1st, Friday to Sunday, and from June 6th to June 8th, Friday to Sunday. Performance times and durations are subject to change on the day of the event.
