Introduction: The Banchiao Nature Reserve in Ningguo, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province is located in the northern part of the hilly area of southern Anhui. It is on the northern edge of the mid-subtropical zone in China. There are undulating peaks, large elevation differences, layers of lush forests, and vertical valleys. It preserves relatively primitive forest vegetation. The natural distribution of ten thousand mu of Castanopsis eyrei forest community in the area is currently a relatively northern and extremely well-preserved zonal vegetation in eastern China, with high protection value.
