The Bank of China Tower is a skyscraper composed of several sets of triangles. It is one of the local landmark buildings. The Bank of China Tower has a unique shape implying ‘rising steadily’. The architectural design is by I.M. Pei & Partners. The tower combines traditional Chinese architectural concepts and modern technology and is built with glass curtain walls and aluminum alloy. It is a square plane, diagonally divided into four sets of triangles. The height of each set of triangles is different, rising steadily. The triangular prism body of the entire tower presents different spatial sensations in the sunlight, reflecting I.M. Pei’s design concept of ‘letting light do the design’. For visiting inside, reach the sightseeing floor on the 43rd floor. Turning right out of the elevator is the sightseeing area. The sightseeing area is not large. Standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows on the northwest side, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Victoria Harbour and the International Finance Centre Tower opposite. You can also view the busy street scenes on the ground. Standing in front of the windows on the west side, you can also look out at the distant Victoria Peak.
