Bangtang Village has a long history. Legend has it that in the Ming Dynasty, Li Dezhong, the ancestor of the Li family in this village, moved here from Luzhou Island. Now Bangtang Village is divided into two natural villages, north and south. Descendants of the Li family all live in these two natural villages.
