Baolin Ancient Temple is located in the Shangzhai Village, Ganlan Village Committee, Zhen Mountain Street, Sihui City. The temple worships the Buddha of Ruan Gong, originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty during the Xining era in 1071, initially named Zhongyuan Temple, and renamed to Baolin Ancient Temple during the Chongzhen era (1628-1644) of the Ming Dynasty.

The temple covers an area of 1134 square meters, divided into the mountain gate, front hall, main hall, and back hall, with four deep sections, supplemented by wing rooms, alleys, and small front and back doors on both sides, forming an integrated whole. The main structure features a hard mountain top design with a gentle eave, presenting a simple and ancient style. In the second and third courtyards, there is a ‘Chenglu’ built with characteristics of the Song Dynasty, making the architectural features quite peculiar.

Since 1988, the temple has undergone several repairs and new walls and archways have been constructed. Opening hours are Monday-Thursday from 10:30 to 20:00; Friday and Saturday from 10:30 to 21:00; closed on Sundays.
