Baolin Temple is located at the foot of Tai Ping Mountain, surrounded by a serene environment, and the temple itself is grand and spectacular, with a thriving incense burn.
Originally built at the end of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties period (around 942 AD), the temple reached its peak during the Xian Chun years of the Song Dynasty. Shunde County was established in the third year of the Jing Tai period of the Ming Dynasty (1452 AD), hence the local saying ‘Before Shunde, there was Baolin,’ highlighting its historical significance.

The current Baolin Temple was rebuilt in 1996 at a new location, with a majestic presence and a simple yet solemn style. Climbing the steps to the top of the mountain, one can overlook the urban landscape of Shunde.

A vegetarian hall is also available at the mid-level of the mountain, where visitors can taste the offerings.

Opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.

Important note: Baolin Temple prohibits the entry of foreign incense; free incense is provided within the temple.
