Baoxiang Temple

The Baoxiang Temple scenic area is currently a national AAAA-level tourist scenic area. It is a Buddhist cultural theme scenic area integrating religious cultural relics display and worship, Buddhist study and experience, and tourism and leisure. Baoxiang Temple was first built in the Northern Wei Dynasty and was originally named Zhaokong Temple. When Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty made a pilgrimage to Mount Tai, he stayed in Wenshang and bestowed the name Baoxiang Temple, thus making it a royal temple.


It has the reputation of ‘famous scenic spot in the Northern Dynasties and the first Buddhist site in the East’. There are many eminent monks in the temple.
