Fu Chi is a large pond surrounded by bluestone, uniquely shaped like a bat, and also resembles an ingot, hence the name ‘Yuanbao Pond’. During the transition from spring to summer, elm seeds fall, resembling copper coins known as ‘elm money’, filling the pond and symbolizing an abundance of ‘fortune money’, implying both wealth and honor.
