The Ice Realm Cooling Pavilion is located next to the Fish Swimming Square in Beihai Silver Beach Tourist Resort. It is the first ice sculpture art performance space on Chinese beaches. The shape of the ice realm pavilion is unique, with smooth overall lines and simple colors, harmoniously blending with the surrounding silver-white sand beach. Backed by the sea, it presents the posture of swimming fish, as if it can embrace the sea at any time. Climbing up to the second floor from the outside stairs, one will see a super-large platform with a 180-degree view of the sea. Inside the pavilion, the scene layout is deeply integrated with ice elements, creating a dreamy atmosphere. With cave-style design, a beach and sea-view terrace, and an indoor and outdoor art ice sculpture cooling theater of about 6,000 square meters. In the exhibition hall, one can watch the avant-garde dance drama “Fusion”, appreciate diversified art exhibitions, and experience the extremely cold cave-style ice storage, forming an interesting collision and unlimited imagination. The Ice Realm Cooling Pavilion specially invites the team of Han Yuanguang, the inheritor of ice lantern and ice sculpture art of the National Art Fund, to be stationed for a long time and create ice sculpture works on site. It also offers ice-themed special catering and creative cocktails. Tourists can rest and cool off in the pavilion, appreciate the ice sculpture creation process and ice sculpture works, and overlook the beautiful scenery of Silver Beach in the coolness.Standing on the observation deck on the second floor, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of Silver Beach’s sea. The gentle sea breeze carries the taste of summer, and as you savor the coolness and admire the sparkling sea surface, you can feel the magnificence and tranquility that make it the number one beach in the world.
Entering the indoor area on the second floor of the ice realm pavilion, you’ll find fine sand underfoot and moss on the walls, making the entire cave feel completely natural. The tables and chairs, made of natural stone and in various shapes, embrace visitors as if they are in the heart of nature.
On the first floor of the ice realm pavilion, there’s a mysterious ice storage with an extremely low internal temperature. This space houses many ice sculpture works created by a team of internationally renowned ice sculpture art artisans. Here, tourists can touch crystal-clear ice blocks, experience the cool touch, and feel the charm of ice and snow at zero distance.
The venue also features the avant-garde dance drama performance “Fusion,” which uses ice as a carrier to tell the story of the “cycle of life.” This vibrant performance allows viewers to experience the true meaning and beauty of time, life, and emotion.
The opening hours are from 09:30 to 22:00 all year round.
