Beijing Aerospace City is located in the northwest suburbs of Beijing, on Youyi Road in Xibeiwang. It is the location of the China Academy of Space Technology and the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center. It is China’s first and the world’s third modern flight control center with transparent control ability, visualized measurement and control support ability, high-precision real-time orbit determination ability, high-speed data processing ability, automated plan generation ability and clear image transmission ability.
It undertakes the command and dispatch, flight control, data processing, information exchange, selection and training of astronauts, and the research and development of spacesuits and aerospace instruments for China’s manned spaceflight missions.
