Beijing Exhibition Hall Theatre

The Beijing Exhibition Hall Theatre is part of the Beijing Exhibition Center, originally built in 1954 and later expanded into an indoor theater in 1959. It features 43 rows with a seating capacity of 2,763, making it one of the significant performing arts venues in Beijing.

The performance hall, with a diameter of 62 meters, is a professional theater with a large audience capacity in Beijing. The stage area covers over 400 square meters, including a 50-square-meter liftable orchestra pit. There are 6 dressing rooms backstage, accommodating over 200 performers for makeup at the same time.

The theater primarily hosts large-scale ballets, symphonies, operas, dance dramas, concerts, crosstalk shows, and conferences. However, due to outdated management, there is still no luggage storage facility. In its early days, various ballet and symphony groups from the Soviet Union frequently performed here. Renowned groups such as the British Royal Ballet, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra from Germany, the Matsuyama Ballet from Japan, the Royal Danish Ballet, and the Central Ballet have also graced its stage.

Opening hours and operational status are subject to the day’s availability.
