The exhibition ‘The Diverse Beauty – Art and Life in Ancient Greece’ focuses on the theme of ‘beauty,’ diverging from the traditional historical narrative of exhibitions. It unfolds the vivid aesthetic tapestry of ancient Greece from three perspectives: ‘daily life,’ ‘adornment,’ and ‘the human form,’ challenging the stereotype that equates ‘Ancient Greece’ with ‘Classical Greece.’ The exhibition features 279 pieces (sets) of representative artifacts from the Greek National Archaeological Museum, including pottery, bronze ware, gold, glassware, murals, and sculptures, spanning a period of 5000 years. It covers all significant historical periods of ancient Greece, such as the Cycladic, Minoan, Mycenaean civilizations, and the Geometric, Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic periods. All exhibits are from the Greek National Archaeological Museum, with the majority being exhibited abroad for the first time. The exhibition is open from November 6th to June 5th, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
