Wang Shuye’s canvases are always teeming with countless brushstrokes. The images that emerge from these accumulations of ink are natural, profound, and tranquil. Standing before the vast canvases, viewers are as if liberated from the constraints of the present time, venturing into the flowing space and time to discover more.
The artist, who previously mainly used ink and pencil as creative media, has gradually delved into the realm of oil colors since 2007. He continuously breaks through personal barriers to reach new heights in his creative world. Moreover, his focus has transcended the pursuit of contour lines, aspiring to close the distance between practice and material contact.
