Approved by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Beijing World Horticultural Expo site has been officially named ‘Beijing Expo Park’. The park retains the main venues, performance centers, outdoor exhibition gardens, and public green spaces from the original expo. Among them, the China Pavilion is planned to be transformed into an Ecological Civilization Exhibition Hall, showcasing the achievements of China’s ecological civilization construction and hosting ecological-themed forums; the International Pavilion will host international conferences, exhibitions, salons, lectures, and film premieres; the Plant Pavilion will be repurposed as an ecological science education venue; the distinctive boutique gardens of the Chinese Horticulture Exhibition Area and the World Horticulture Exhibition Area will undergo partial renovations to form the core exhibition area of the ‘Everlasting World Horticultural Expo’.
In the future, Beijing Expo Park will also introduce large-scale music festivals, hold summer retreat festivals, stage resident performances, organize competitive events, and develop research and study programs, making full use of the legacy of the World Horticultural Expo. Opening hours are from 09:00 to 16:30 all year round. Preferential policies for children: Free for children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.2 meters in height (inclusive) with valid identification; for the elderly: Free for those 60 years old or above with valid identification; for people with disabilities: Free with a disability certificate (including military disability) with a valid disability certificate or military disability certificate; for military personnel: Free for active-duty servicemen with valid identification (military security cards are not considered valid identification); for firefighters and rescue personnel: Free with valid identification; for holders of Beijing Tongyi Elderly Care and Disability Assistance Card: Must enter with a formal card, and a temporary card holder must also present their ID card; for students: Discount for adolescents aged 6 to 18 years old (inclusive) and full-time undergraduate students and below; for social security recipients: Discount for those with a social security payment certificate.
