Jay Chou, the founder and leader of Chinese style music, combines pop and Chinese elements to create distinctive Chinese style songs. These songs have been widely popular and loved by audiences of all ages, occupying the youth memories of several generations. His songs have accompanied the growth of this generation, and his lyrics are like a book. For example, he depicts the sky blue color waiting for the rain with “Blue and White Porcelain”, tells the names of more than ten ancient medicinal materials with “Compendium of Materia Medica”, and plays the sound of the pipa with “East Wind Broken”.
This concert is the only official authorization by Jay Chou. It presents his Chinese style music works in the form of national instrumental performance, awakening the different youth memories of 80s, 90s, and even 00s audiences and allowing them to experience a different atmosphere from the concert. The Jiu Xuan Girls Orchestra is a nine-member orchestra incubated on the basis of the once glorious “Girls Twelve Orchestra”. It was created by the orchestra leader Shi Juan with great affection. “Jiu Xuan” represents nine high-level realms in Chinese culture. Jiu is the largest number. Xuan: Heaven, implying that the orchestra and this Chinese style music concert can be unique and shine brightly.
