The Beijing Ren’ai Drama Museum is located inside the Capital Theatre on Wangfujing Street in Dongcheng District and was opened to the public in 2004. It covers an area of 1360 square meters. The exhibition is composed of various sections including the序厅, the founders’ memorial hall, the repertoire hall, the academic hall, the exchange hall, the theatre and audience hall, and the actors’ artistic image gallery.
The museum houses nearly 150,000 pieces of collections, which include a number of significant manuscripts such as precious handwritings and calligraphic works from authors like Lao She, Cao Yu, and Shen Congwen, as well as valuable materials left by performers like Ye Zi, Zhu Lin, Zheng Rong, and Ying Ruocheng.
The Ren’ai Drama displayed in the museum is highly interesting and is recommended for visitors who are interested in drama.
