Introduction: The National Art Exhibition is as old as New China. In the past 75 years, the exhibition has always been in the same direction as the times and made efforts to promote the development of Chinese art. The Fourteenth National Art Exhibition is one of the important cultural activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and also one of the series of activities to learn and practice Xi Jinping’s thought on culture.

The exhibition is divided into two stages. In the first stage, 4,814 works are exhibited in 13 sub-exhibition areas. In the second stage, 686 works entering Beijing are exhibited in the National Art Museum of China and the National Museum of China. Among them, the National Art Museum of China exhibits Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolors (including pastels), New Year pictures, propaganda posters, cartoons (including story comics and single-frame comics), comic strips (including children’s picture books), illustrations, and works of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese.

The exhibition focuses on the themes of the new era, vividly depicts the great practice of building Chinese-style modernization, vividly portrays the happy life of the people, and fully shows the fruitful results of the development of China’s art in recent years.
