Beijing Wildlife Park Overview:
Situated along the picturesque Yongding River, Beijing Wildlife Park spans over 3,600 acres and is home to over 200 species and 5,000 individuals of rare wild animals from around the world. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot that integrates wildlife breeding, scientific research, educational outreach, and leisure tourism.
Exhibit Areas:
The park is located 42 kilometers from the city center and features over 80 themed animal fields and pavilions. It is divided into three major animal viewing areas: self-driving tour area, walking tour area, and predator experience area.
1. Self-driving Tour Area:
Officially opened on May 1, 2015, this area covers more than 1,200 acres with a 10-kilometer tour route and seven major animal exhibition areas, showcasing over 60 species and more than 800 individuals. The self-driving tour area offers two viewing methods: self-driving and small train tours. Animals live in their natural habitat, creating a unique ‘animals and natural landscape’, allowing for a 360-degree unobstructed viewing experience. Visitors can experience the original and authentic natural world of animals from Asia to Africa, from grasslands to plateaus during the full-day self-driving tour, fully appreciating the wild and vibrant nature of wildlife.
2. Walking Tour Area:
The walking tour area is elegant and rich in oxygen. The overall design emphasizes an open concept with over 30 animal pavilions, featuring innovative pavilion design, diverse viewing angles, and unobstructed vision. It brings people closer to animals, increases contact between people and animals, and reflects the intimacy and harmony between humans, animals, and the environment. The walking tour area also includes animal fun training, bird behavior training, and large animal behavior displays. While watching the shows, visitors can experience both interactive fun and surprise and excitement.
3. Predator Experience Area: The predator experience area has eight exhibition areas, displaying eight species of predatory animals, with more than a hundred individuals. Each exhibition area is designed based on the animals’ natural living environment, with animals living in an open natural environment. Visitors can take an environmentally friendly amphibious animal-shaped feeding experience sightseeing vehicle for viewing, and can experience the fierce and thrilling nature of carnivorous animals while feeding them personally. This area creates and restores the wild habitat of animals with rugged terrain, and visitors can fully experience the dynamic visual experience of humans, wild animals, and nature blending together while closely observing predators in their natural habitat by riding the sightseeing vehicle through mountains and waters.
4. Fun Land: Fun Land is the first children’s park in Beijing themed around animals. The tour area is divided into themed exhibition areas such as Slow World, Long Tongue, Cute Baby Kindergarten, Jungle Hospital, Big Ears, Aquatic Animal Exhibition Area, and Dinosaur Mountain.Welcome to our animal exhibit, where each display is named after the prominent characteristics of the animals and designed to replicate their natural living environments. This allows visitors to immerse themselves in the authentic habitats of these animals. Our collection features predominantly mild-mannered animals with strong viewing and interactive appeal, providing opportunities for participation, interaction, experience, and entertainment.
