The Giraffe Pavilion is located south of the Changhe River within the western part of the Beijing Zoo. This pavilion features a single-story, pointed-roof brick and concrete structure with a European flair, standing at a height of 8.9 meters. Adjacent to the animal enclosures, there are five outdoor exercise areas with a combined area of over 3000 square meters. These exercise areas are separated by railings, allowing keepers to distribute the animals to different exercise areas as needed.
