The “Spectrum of Brilliance—Immersive Caves Art Experience” exhibition is officially open to the public on the third-floor platform and surrounding corridor of the National Museum of China. This immersive experience, spanning an area of approximately 1500 square meters, is designed with a giant digital installation shaped like a blooming lotus. Artists have combined digital drawing, 3D mapping imagery, and AI algorithms to present, explore, and interpret the artistic styles and rich connotations of the Kizil Caves, Dunhuang Mogao Caves, Maijishan Caves, Yungang Grottoes, and Longmen Grottoes from a contemporary perspective and unique viewpoint. The “Art Time-Space Experience Area” is composed of sections such as “Rhombus World”, “Eternal Beads”, “Oriental Smile”, “Origins from All Directions”, and “Wonderful and Strange Realms”. Additionally, there are “Educational Interactive Experience Areas” and “Derivative Art Areas”, all working together to create a panoramic immersive environment and giving cave art a new interpretation. The giant digital installation and full sensory interactive exhibition are highlights of this experience, opening up a new perspective for the analysis and appreciation of cave art and also颠覆ing the traditional immovable cultural heritage display model on both technical and perceptual levels. Many cave art scenes, refined and catalyzed by contemporary aesthetic concepts, are either solemn and sacred or magnificent and enchanting. Here, they transcend time and space to gather together, and these imaginative digital art reinterpretations convey the aesthetic pursuits, values, and cultural spirit carried by ancient Chinese cave art.Grottoes are an important part of ancient Chinese cultural heritage and a bright pearl in the long river of Chinese civilization history, with unique historical, artistic, and scientific values. Cultural relics and cultural heritage carry the genes and blood of the Chinese nation and are non-renewable, irreplaceable resources of excellent Chinese civilization. More cultural relics and heritage should be brought to life to foster a strong social atmosphere for the inheritance of Chinese civilization.
