Beilin Natural Museum

Located at No. 280 Liaoning Road, Shibei District, Qingdao, the Beilin Natural Museum is a collaborative effort between the Shibei District Government of Qingdao, the Global Health and Education Foundation of the United States, and the Qingdao Institute of Science and Art of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a natural history museum named after Mr. Beilin. Relying on the donation of more than 400 rare specimens of wild animals by the renowned American philanthropist Kenneth Eugene Beilin, and utilizing digital imaging and interactive technologies from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the museum perfectly combines exhibition forms and content, giving animals a second ‘life’.

It fully demonstrates the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, creating an interactive natural museum that integrates technology, culture, tourism, leisure, public welfare, science popularization, and educational services.

The Beilin Museum is dedicated to becoming an important public social and cultural exchange platform and a science education base in Qingdao. The exhibition hall features 32 exhibits, including ‘Wild Africa,’ ‘Charming Eurasia,’ and ‘Magnificent North America,’ which use the restoration of rare wild animal habitats as a means of expression, offering strong visual appeal and educational significance. Digital interactive exhibits, such as large-scale AR and VR experiences, digital education classrooms, and the Beilin Cabin, reflect the new characteristics of a museum that combines technology with static displays.
