Beilun Forest Botanical Garden is situated approximately 15 kilometers from the urban center of Beilun, conveniently neighboring the picturesque Jiufeng Mountain and Xinlu Reservoir. The garden boasts a varied topography and rich soil layers that provide excellent drainage, making it an ideal environment for the cultivation, breeding, and experimental research of a wide array of plants.
The botanical garden’s primary focus is on the indigenous forest flora of Zhejiang Province, complemented by subtropical forest plants from the East China region. It places a strong emphasis on the collection and conservation of plant genetic resources that are suitable for greening and ornamentation, economic timber, rare and endangered species, as well as plants that are unique to the region.
Visitors are welcome to explore the garden throughout the year. The visiting hours are from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
