Beiqiao Park is located at the confluence of Nanqiao River and Beiqiao River in Chi Kan District. In 2003, Nanqiao Park was constructed upstream of the Nanqiao River. Covering an area of 89 acres, Beiqiao Park features various attractions including sports activity areas, children’s entertainment areas, a fog square at the summit, and a central square.
Bocce courts, skating rinks, children’s playgrounds, and fitness trails are lined up along the south side of the Beiqiao River; the curtain stage and central square serve as the hub for public cultural and entertainment activities. The theme sculpture ‘River’s Love’ uses the English letter ‘R’ to represent the confluence of the two rivers, symbolizing the successful enclosure of the Nanqiao and Beiqiao River regulation project. The completion of Beiqiao Park has added another excellent place for citizens to relax. On the day of its opening, citizens flocked to visit and participated in various activities such as quyi singing, yangko dance, and aerobics, creating a festive, harmonious, and warm atmosphere.
