Beigou Park is located at the foot of Yuquan Mountain in Beijing. Originally a natural village at the junction of urban and rural areas in Beijing, it was later transformed into a park. The park complements and enhances its surroundings, including the Summer Palace and Yuquan Mountain, with an overall style that highlights historical and cultural heritage while also possessing a modern atmosphere.
Covering an area of 711 acres, the park is divided into an eastern and western section. The eastern section borrows scenery from the Summer Palace and Yuquan Mountain, encompassing four major scenic areas, among which the well-known is the Minister’s Forest, covering 290 acres. The western section is located to the north of BeiGou JiaYuan, where various sizes of open spaces have been created for the local community to relax, entertain, and organize holiday celebrations. Ascending the small hill in the park, one’s view suddenly opens up to reveal the calm lake surface below, with green mountains and trees reflected in it, particularly beautiful and refreshing, providing a sense of tranquility and pleasure. From the observation deck, not only can you see Yuquan Mountain but also, on a clear day, the Buddha Fragrance Pavilion of the Summer Palace. Additionally, it is an underrated autumn viewing spot at the foot of Fragrant Hill with fewer crowds, a must-visit. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day.Beigou Park
