Beixiaohe Park, a haven for relaxation and recreation, is nestled in the Donghu area of Chaoyang District, Beijing. Spanning an expansive 228,000 square meters, it serves as an ideal spot for residents of the Wangjing area to unwind, exercise, and indulge in leisure activities. Originally a requisitioned green space, the park underwent a transformation and was reopened as Beixiaohe Park in 2005.
The park’s main entrance is situated at its eastern gateway, leading visitors into a well-organized layout divided into several functional zones. These include:
1. **Riverside Leisure Area**: Lined along both banks of the Beixiaohe River channel, this area offers fitness walking paths and shaded leisure squares for a tranquil riverside experience.
2. **Children’s Activity Area**: Designed with young ones in mind, this zone boasts a variety of children’s games, painting walls, and mazes to keep children engaged and entertained.
3. **Forest Theater Area**: Located near the park’s south entrance, this area is ideal for hosting small-scale events such as poetry recitations, singing competitions, and concerts. It is adorned with sculptures of renowned poets and musicians.
4. **Sports and Fitness Area**: This zone is equipped with outdoor fitness equipment and features several courts dedicated to basketball, table tennis, and badminton.
Beixiaohe Park is open to the public every day from 06:00 to 21:00, ensuring a year-round opportunity for both residents and visitors to enjoy its amenities.
