Bibo Lake, covering an area of 350 acres with a length of 1000 meters and a depth of approximately 2 meters, offers a picturesque view as if one is immersed in the beauty of lakes and mountains. Resembling a pipa (a Chinese traditional musical instrument), the lake has a natural terraced surrounding, making it an ideal venue for dragon boat racing. The ’95 International Dragon Boat Race was held here, attracting athletes from 12 countries.
The two-day event drew nearly 300,000 visitors, setting a precedent for a county-level city hosting and a town-level organizing large-scale international competitions in China. The lake also offers various water activities such as water bikes, yachts, and pedal boats, making it a perfect spot for couples to enjoy.
