Biography Museum of Zhang Bao Gao

The Biography Museum of Zhang Bao Gao is located within the Chi Mountain Scenic Area in Weihai, covering an area of 13,000 square meters. It features five exhibition halls and a cinema hall. The museum primarily showcases the background of Zhang Bao Gao’s entry into the Tang Dynasty, his participation in the military operations of the Wuning Army, the establishment of the Chi Mountain Fahua Temple, the creation of the Qinghai Town, the suppression of pirates, the prohibition of slave trade, and the development of maritime trade activities.
The museum’s architecture is designed in the style of the Tang Dynasty, with intricately carved beams and columns, exuding a grand and imposing presence. An 8-meter tall bronze statue of Zhang Bao Gao stands tall within the courtyard. Surrounding the statue are winding corridors with water pavilions and lush bamboo and blooming flowers.
The museum is open all year round from 07:30 to 16:30.
