The park is located in the northern cluster of Xiuhu area in the center of the county. It covers an area of 6.94 hectares. The park is positioned as a regional and open comprehensive cultural and leisure park with sightseeing, rest, physical fitness and cultural and entertainment activities as the main contents. Adhering to the design concept of respecting nature, advocating humanity and creating beautiful scenery, integrating Bishan’s historical culture, adopting the theme of ‘flowers blooming around the tower’, centering on the TV tower for composition, and using rich flowers and ecological plant communities for layout. Trees form forests and flowers form patches, taking into account ecological landscapes and functional spaces, creating a garden artistic conception of ‘mountain flowers blooming and reflecting the tower’. The park is laid out with the main tourist ring road surrounding the central area. A humanistic landscape axis composed of square platforms, relief walls and viewing corridors intersects and interacts with a natural landscape axis that passes through forests, water bodies and leisure corridors. According to the terrain, six functional areas are naturally designed: reception service area, sightseeing and rest area, landscape viewing area, cultural and entertainment area and sports area. The park also has four flower avenues: Magnolia Avenue, Lagerstroemia indica Avenue, Cherry Blossom Avenue and Begonia Avenue. The viewpoints overlooking the whole view of Bicheng are combined with amusement activity places in the plant landscape of blooming flowers and green grass in all seasons. In the park, there are winding paths leading to secluded places and richly layered landscape platforms. The simple and heavy ‘Morning Glow of Bicheng’, the charming ‘Ancient Banyan in Lingyan’, the full of charm ‘Historical Song of Bicheng’, the soothing and leisurely ‘Singing in the Maple Forest at Dusk’, and the childlike and playful ‘Begonias and Butterflies’ all have their own characteristics and make people linger and forget to return. At night, the TV Tower Park is more like a three-dimensional and dynamic light and shadow painting, allowing people to fully enjoy the rare tranquility in a prosperous city.
