Bizhi Pagoda was constructed under the organization of the eminent monk Huichong during the Tang Dynasty. The name ‘Bizhi Pagoda’ refers to the ‘Stupa of the Pratyekabuddha.’ This pagoda is an octagonal, nine-story brick structure, with a stone base in the form of an octagon, adorned with relief carvings that depict stories such as the conversion of Emperor Ashoka from the ancient Indian Maurya Dynasty to Buddhism. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day. For specific visiting hours, please consult the local tourist site.
