Boao Golf and Country Club is the first of its kind in China’s industry and an all-island links-style course in Asia. The 18-hole, 72-par course is 7,019 yards long. The first nine holes wind around the island, surrounded by rivers and seas, with clear waters on all sides, integrating the sea and sky scenery and distant mountains and nearby waters. The latter nine holes pass through the island, gathering strange rocks in sand bunkers, coconut forests and reed marshes, and pastoral scenery. The course is known as ‘one of the most distinctive courses in China’. Even in midsummer, there is a cool breeze and migratory birds accompany you. It is like a natural park that not only satisfies your golf addiction but also has wild charm. The course is meticulously carved by Mr. Bill, a Canadian stylist, and strictly supervised by Mr. Yuji from Japan. The application of various golf skills and tactics is cleverly blended on this island of about 800,000 square meters, allowing players of different skill levels to test their skills on fairways of different difficulties and hone their golf skills. Also, in order to maintain and respect the specific meaning of the links style, the entire course strictly retains the original natural topography and vegetation, and makes full use of the distribution of bays, sand bunkers, white reed and various shrub and vine plants on the island. In particular, the wild pineapple jungle all over the island not only gives the course landscape characteristics but also is a great test for your playing strategy and skills. Its function is like that of broom shrubs and stone walls on those Scottish links courses. The longest hole on the entire course is the 9th hole (Maria) at 563 yards; the shortest hole is the 11th hole (Wave) at 160 yards; the most difficult hole is the 7th hole (Greatwall) at 454 yards. Originally, it is a long cross-sea hole with a straight line distance. Since there is a vast bay on the left, if you are not sure about teeing off and flying over the sea, you must conservatively tee off to the fairway on the right. However, if the landing point is not carefully calculated, the little white ball will fall into the wild pineapple bush on the right and leave you… The mystery of this island within an island awaits your exploration while enjoying leisure time with friends and improving golf skills and tactics. The more unique feature of the course is the water transportation to and from the course and hotel. Taking a speedboat or a small boat and browsing the scenery along the Wanquan River from the water will make you feel delighted and have a special charm. Total length of fairways: 7,019 yards. Par: 72. Black Tee: 7,019 yards. Blue Tee: 6,730 yards. White Tee: 5,988 yards. Red Tee: 5,152 yards. Opening hours: Specific opening hours are subject to on-site announcements.
