Bowen Ancient Village is located in the heart of the Shimen Cave Scenic Area, closely connected to the Shimen Waterfall Scenic Area. The village has a historical background, as it is said that Liu Bowen, a renowned scholar, often visited this place to explore ancient mysteries and tranquility during his studies at the Shimen Academy, hence the name ‘Bowen.’ The village is also known as Dongbei Village due to its location at the back of the Shimen Cave Waterfall Scenic Area. This ancient village is surrounded by continuous green mountains and towering ancient trees, exuding an atmosphere of spiritual energy, making it an ideal place for health preservation and self-cultivation. It is open to visitors all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
