The layout of Bai Fo Garden is exquisite and elegant, with a beautiful and secluded style. In particular, more than 110 stone Buddhas with unique shapes and diverse schools are placed in an orderly manner in the garden, making the Buddhist cultural implication ripple among the blooming flowers and beautiful trees, as well as among the waterside pavilions and kiosks. Lu Yu Pavilion, built on the top of the rockery, is the highest scenic spot in the whole garden.
Looking around freely, one can see that the whole garden is filled with the mutual reflection of Buddhist trees and the alternation of Zen flowers. At the end of the Buddhist path in the garden is a ‘Yi Hu Chun’ teahouse. The interior is richly decorated with carved beams and painted pillars, and there is a lingering fragrance of tea. Xu Sihai talked about the process of building Bai Fo Garden in this tranquil and indifferent atmosphere. On the northwest side of Bai Fo Garden, there is a museum of pots and kettles in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, displaying various kinds of pots and kettles since the Neolithic Age.
