On November 23rd, Cai Guo-Qiang’s AI model, cAI, debuted as an artist with its first global solo exhibition titled ‘cAI: Soul Scan’. Hosted by MGM, the exhibition will run until June 1, 2025.
Located adjacent to the A-Ma Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Macau, the exhibition venue, Maritime Workshop No. 1, draws inspiration from the over 400-year-old Mazu worship in Macau, as well as Cai Guo-Qiang’s native Minnan region and the history of Mazu’s southern transmission. The exhibition showcases 20 unique pieces/grouped works created by cAI after in-depth learning about Macau’s rich history and cultural spirit.
