Located by the seaside, Calligraphy Square is situated on the outer side of Zengcuo’an Road. The square features a variety of uniquely shaped stones, each engraved with exquisite calligraphy masterpieces from different dynasties, creating an imposing atmosphere.
At the center of the square, a massive character ‘Shou’ (meaning longevity) is constructed from stones and pebbles, which is particularly eye-catching. Each stone is inscribed with the character ‘Tao’, as the designer intentionally omitted the three water drops, symbolizing the union of ‘sea water’ and ‘Shou’ to form the word ‘Tao’.
Open all year round from January 1st to December 31st, the square is accessible 24/7.
