Cang Xiang Street

Cang Xiang Street is located in Anyang, Henan, with a length of over 500 meters from east to west. Originally known as Cang Men Kou Street due to its proximity to the county grain warehouse, it was later renamed Cang Xiang Street.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Cang Xiang Street was a hub for merchants and residents, with many wealthy business families, and was thus dubbed ‘Dragon and Phoenix Street’ alongside Tian Shui Jing Street.
Open all year round, Cang Xiang Street is a must-visit historical and cultural block in Anyang City, Wenfeng District, Henan Province. It is one of the first batch of historical and cultural blocks in Henan Province and a preserved architectural cultural heritage from the Ming and Qing dynasties in Anyang’s Zhangde Prefecture.
Cang Xiang Street spans 528 meters in length and 4.9 meters in width, with 57 courtyards, most of which date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as the Republic of China period. As one of the better-preserved historical and cultural blocks in Anyang’s ancient city, Cang Xiang Street is often referred to as Anyang’s ‘Nanluoguxiang’.
