Chang’an Square is situated at the intersection of the Second Ring Road, Sports Road, and Changqing Road in the heart of Chang’an Town, Dongguan City. It covers an area of 8 hectares and was constructed with an investment of over 40 million yuan. Designed in 1997 and commenced in August 1998, it was officially put into use during the Spring Festival of 1999.
The central square integrates Western architectural styles with Chinese garden architectural art, making it one of the largest-scale municipal cultural facilities in Chang’an Town. It can accommodate tens of thousands of people for gatherings, providing a beautiful leisure space for over 300,000 residents.

Ascending the steps from the north entrance, one is greeted by a vast, flat square spanning over 20,000 square meters. On the east and west sides of the square stand two rows of 10-meter-tall royal palm trees and two rows of slender-leafed banyan trees, their greenery swaying, showcasing the charm of the southern region and enhancing the grandeur of the square.
