Changtan Lake is located in Pujiang County, southwest of Chengdu City. The lake is surrounded by more than a hundred peaks, arranged in a picturesque manner. The lake itself is vast and clear, with green mountains on both sides, their reflections rippling on the water’s surface, creating a series of green galleries and natural, elegant landscapes.
The lake area features attractions such as ‘Golden Turtle Island’, ‘Azure Bay’, ‘Lying Tiger Ridge’, ‘Golden Bell Mountain’, ‘Jade Screen Mountain’, and ‘Red Rock Stockade’. Each of these sites is accompanied by enchanting legends that inspire boundless imagination.

The ‘Shi Yao Yan’ in the lake area is a remnant of an ancient mountain stream path. This path once connected famous mountains and Ya’an in the north to Xinjin and Pengshan in the south, with a stone staircase ascending the cliffs that stretches for 2.5 kilometers.
