Xian Mountain, known as the ancestral temple of the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha who embodies the virtues of benevolence and filial piety, holds a distinctively significant position in the Buddhist community. Over ten temples of various sizes are nestled on Xian Mountain.
The mountain features a unique appearance, standing solitary and towering with vast flat lands surrounding it, resembling Japan’s Mount Fuji. XianSheng Temple, located on the southern slope of Xian Mountain, is a historically renowned temple, dedicated to the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, and was originally established during the Tang Dynasty’s Tianbao era.
