The panda house is located in the beautiful Shuangmen Dong scenic area of Changyu Dongtian. It is the habitat of national treasures Taotao, Huanhuan and Fuwa. Outside the house, there are lush green bamboos and overlapping green peaks, which is very elegant and tranquil. Inside the house, there are overlapping pools. The water flows down the wall, goes down the trough, flows into the pool and circulates repeatedly.
Construction began in August 2009 and the house opened on February 5, 2010. It covers an area of 4,300 square meters and consists of three main parts: one indoor exhibition hall and two outdoor exhibition halls (one of which is still under construction). The pattern inlaid with black and white pebbles in the pool in the panda house echoes the building. A circle of short stone pillars beside the pool is tangent to the pool, which has a unique charm. With ingenious conception, novel shape and reasonable layout, it becomes a leader among animal houses and is a model of perfect combination of artistry and practicability.
