Located on the Hushan Mountain in the northwest of Chaozhou city, this site was constructed by the Chaozhou Commander during the Qing Kangxi period when the Three Feudatories were pacified. The city walls encircle Hushan Mountain, and four gates were established, namely Zizhu, Shuixian, West, and Jingbei. The Yaocheng is situated to the northwest of the prefecture city, separated from the city wall by a moat, forming a mutually dependent structure. Open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
