Originally laid out as a quadrangle with a cross-court on the left and two cross-courts on the right, only the front court, stage, and the western watchtower remain as historical sites, with the rest demolished and awaiting reconstruction.
Chen Wanbao Manor is not only a model of the combination of Eastern Sichuan and Jiangnan architecture but also a superior example of Chinese Qing Dynasty residential architecture in the southwestern region. The architectural structure, style, design, and art within the manor are considered residential masterpieces, possessing high historical, artistic, and scientific value.
