Chengyang District Library is located in Chengyang District, backed by Chengyang People’s Square, Chengyang New World, and Qiu Zhihai Art Museum, boasting a beautiful environment.
It features various service counters such as the Chinese Book Lending Room, Chinese Newspaper and Periodical Reading Room, Children’s Reading Room, Electronic Reading Room, Foreign Language Reading Room, and Local Documentation Reading Room, catering to the needs of readers at different levels. The library has a construction area of over 4,900 square meters and houses approximately 600,000 volumes of books and more than 400 types of newspapers and periodicals. Opening hours are Saturday-Sunday from 09:00-11:30 and 13:00-16:00; Monday-Thursday from 08:30-11:30 and 13:00-17:00; and closed all day on Fridays. The self-service borrowing area of Chengyang District Library (formerly 24-hour self-service) will alternate between Daylight Saving Time and Standard Time schedules. Daylight Saving Time: May 1st to September 30th, 8:00-21:00; Standard Time: October 1st to April 30th of the following year, 8:00-20:00.
